In a world...
- First They Came for Screech, And I Said Nothing. Then They Came for Urkel...: AV Club offers a great recap/highlights/low points of Vanity Fair's interview with Jaleel "Don't Call Me Urkel...OK, Call Me Urkel" White. We get it, 90s sitcom nerds: you're all packing heat in dick department. I don't know which is worse, though: Screech's (almost literally) execrable porno or "Doing the Urkel." (or worse yet, making Bea Arthur do the Urkel)
- They Ripped Off Rebecca Black's Concept for the Video for her Follow-Up to Friday: AV Club also directs our attention to the brand new music video for "Calgary" by Bon Iver, in preparation of the band's new album that comes out next Tuesday (but you can listen to it streaming here for free).
- Cue Up the "Torgo Theme." Tonight...WE DANCE!: Topless Robot blew the lid off this story about the special edition DVD of Mystery Science Theater 3000's take on Manos: the Hands of Fate. Did I immediately pre-order it even though it won't come out til September? Oh yes...Oh yes...
- You Know What Wasn't in the Movie? FUCKING ALIENS!!!: Moviefone ('Why Don't You Just TELL Me the Movie You Want to See?') lists 30 facts about Raiders of the Lost Ark you might not know. If you liked that, stay tuned for some Raiders related hijinks next week...
- Philosophy Meet Nerds. Nerds, Philosophy: iO9 has 10 ways that one could interpret The Dark Knight. I dunno which one is correct or even which one I agree with most - but I do know that it makes for great conversation fodder.
- Oh...Oh God.: This comic strip isn't graphic (no pun intended), but it is...haunting. Darkly funny but also...it's pretty bad, y'all. (Via Reddit)
- Palate Cleanser - Stat!: Ahhh, better.
